The smell of the lavender
Is O so sweet
Growing in the garden
It looks quite neat
Cut and dried
stored in a sack
safe from the nostrils
less you get a sneezing attack!
Released from the bag
Ready to strip
The flowers from stems
It makes the nose drip
Muslin bags ready
To trap all the flowers
Dried they may be
But they still pack some power
Stitched tight in their bags
And placed in your drawers
You will smell sweet
For all you’ll agree
